LaChandra White is the Political Director, National Community Action Program Department at the International Union, United Auto Workers. She is responsible for overseeing the union’s non-partisan political arm, implementing the union’s political policy agenda. She also coordinates with the UAW’s efforts to educate, organize, and mobilize the union’s active and retired UAW members in electing proworker candidates. In June 2018 she was appointed Assistant Director of the UAW Civil and Human Rights Department and in August 2019 she was appointed Director of the Department. She has also served as a UAW Retired Workers Department representative. Ms. White is dedicated to advancing the cause of social and economic justice for working people and their families.
